Then it rained and I got more wet. But I strolled around Williamburg and got coffee and didn’t care that I didn’t have an umbrella. It was actually kind of nice.

Sequence of realization:

1. Something’s hissing.
2. Oh my God, water’s coming out of a hose.
3. It’s drenching Cait.
4. Cait is standing between the hose and the equipment so the equipment doesn’t get wet.
5. Cait is super cool.
6. Better turn the hose off.

Sam’s breakdown of this event is both accurately descriptive of the how it happened and a very funny response to a funny situation. Yesterday was fun/(ny).

morgan and i didn’t do much this past weekend, but we had a really nice time doing nothing.

the creamiest ice cream i’d had in a long time. maybe ever. not necessarily the best or the most satisfying, but definitely the creamiest.

morgan made a beautiful, delicious cake for my birthday. it had white chocolate frosting and lemon curd in between the layers of cake. it was delicious and very complicated and she executed it brilliantly.

i just thought of this while i was working out today…no idea why. i have this memory of yelling at my sister, “MORE WHIMSY!” and every time i think about it i just start laughing out loud (like right now as i type it on the terrace of a hotel on my street)! why would i be yelling, “MORE WHIMSY!” at my sister. i can only imagine me directing her in a movie or something and me wanting her to provide “more whimsy,” but i’ve never directed her in a movie, so it’s just really random and i have no idea why i would be yelling “MORE WHIMSY!” it just makes no sense and i still can’t stop laughing!

but it’s good advice, no? MORE WHIMSY!!!

Now my brother has a blog! WHO KNEW!?
