Midwest

I’m about to board my favorite airline, Midwest, which I haven’t flown since May.  Since then I’ve been on Air India, First Choice, Turkish Airlines, Swiss Air, and American.  The two longest of these were Air India and American.  Air India’s food was far from what I would consider acceptable even for plane food and yesterday I had the most satisfying of any plane food I’ve ever had, which was on American.   However when flying domesticallly, my family always goes with Midwest.   Midwest gives you freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that are still warm and delicious when handed to you halfway through the flight.  They are SO good.

the “virgin mary’s house” near ephesus is so not the virgin mary’s house. people found a random ancient house near ephesus and said, “mary lived near ephesus. this must be her house.” (i think there was something with a nun saying it was her house too.) that’s like finding a random house in new york two thousand years from now and saying, “bill clinton lived in new york once. this must be bill clinton’s house!”

so when they offered us the option of going to the “virgin mary’s house” after the ephesus tour, we protested by getting a bottle of wine and drinking on the street while everybody else went. we were so the bad kids on our tour today…we left the tour group during the ephesus tour and drank on the street in protest of the faux virgin mary’s house. it was kinda awesome.
