Pete took the Prius today so Roxy and I went on a field trip. We were doing just fine until we got to the car wash. She was all “Caitlin always gets the Rain-X and Wheel Brightener and Ultimate Wash and goes through the automatic wash.” I was all “Well, Caitlin isn’t here, is she? Just be glad you’re getting washed at all. And, by the way, who always kept you clean before Cait worked at the car wash.” That shut her up.
Cait had left a mixtape in the car so we tried to guess who we were listening to—-M.I.A., No Doubt, Jenny Lewis, Sweeney Todd, Amy, some guy I didn’t know…
We voted the following:
Best Dressed: Gwen (of course)
Best Vocals: Amy
Best Storyteller: Jenny
Most Innovative and Most Makes You Feel Like You’re Entering A Jungle to Fight Contras or Colombian War Lords: M.I.A.
Most Makes You Not Want to Eat Meat: Sweeney Todd
“Funnest” Car to Drive: Roxy because she is so fast and has a sunroof
The End
Recently noticed:
1. We have a “Lesbian Alliance” that enforces littering laws around my house.
2. My friends here can keep me from feeling lonely if I let them.
There are more things that I don’t feel particularly comfortable disclosing on the internet, so I won’t, but, the point is, “home” looks a little different after being away. I feel less and more comfortable, and less and more like myself.
Alex and I were talking about how it’s lovely to visit Pennsylvania, but we wouldn’t want to move back. And how bizarre that is, thinking we’ve lived the majority of our lives there and, suddenly, we’ve outgrown it. The lavender leather wallet I gave her for her sixteenth birthday was stolen last week, straight out of her purse, as she was coming out of the subway.
It blows my mind to think that the thing is now held captive by some strange woman somewhere in New York.
another scene from T2!I don’t have a very big role in this one, but it is still pretty epic
I approve of these. Coming soon: JURASSIC PARK!
I feel so lucky.
Caitlin: “It might be kind of scary, so just know in advance.” (Thanks, Cait! I’ll brace myself.)
Eeek have fun! Next Wednesday on IMAX for me!
“Tell a Lie” Photoshop series by Henry Hadlow starring Ed Cornish. In the project description Hadlow notes - “The most controversial lies told with photography today are those told by news photographers who manipulate their work photographs to tell a different story.”
These are amazing.
I want to get an infrared filter for my 20D. But I don’t reallly know anything about infrared filters.
Can someone give me some advice?
