tumblinas? not REALLY my thing but...

http://tumblinas.com/ is a tumblr geared toward women of all kinds whose mantra appears in the description of the page:

WHO
women, ladies, girls, cooks, artists, free spirits, fashion designers, teachers, wives, lawyers, students, therapists, gals, soap stars, fashionistas, rebels, journalists, chicks, travelers…. friends.

WHAT
an open, fun secret (but open and public) society where what we have in common is the desire to share. our collaborative content is built around sharing a laugh, some good (or maybe bad) advice, helping a woman get the dress of her dreams, tips of a super duper sample sale scoop, a job lead in omaha, nebraska, whatever.

HOW
brought together via tumblr, reblogging, mutual friends, invitation of an existing tumblina, or some other random common interest.

WHY
because you get by with a little help from your friends.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
i. you must own a tumblr
ii. you have to be a female

WELCOME.

However, as a woman/girl, I do not fall into this category, though I do meet the two requirements.  A lot of the posts are photos of men that end with “God he’s hot.” and the hunky choices of “which televistion character you’d most like to date”.  I have to say, none of the choices sparked my attention, if you know what I mean.  Anyway, some of the posts are about art, design, etc…which IS exactly my thing, but as a whole I don’t really feel like this “women friendly” blog is necessarily entirely women friendly.

So, as much as I respect the interest of the tumblina’s blog, I’m looking for a few friends who may want to start a different kind of blog, for either…the other side of the fence…or just things that are more interesting to the types of girls/women who are not only interested in art and technology, but maybe don’t have “televisions hottest hunks” on their minds.

Hey, other girls, let’s make something cool.
