Summary of today, Wednesday July 9th
- Get up - excrutiating throat/head/face pain
- Travel to work - got many things done…various problems fixed
- Feel like death - decide to go to a walk-in clinic uptown
- Get back to apartment for insurance card & leave
- Almost to the subway - realize that monthly metrocard and key for apartment are both gone
- Frantically retrace steps back to apartment several times - no luck
- Still feeling like death
- Go back to apartment - deal with evil people
- Walk to 27th & 7th to get a new ID/key & pay for a new one
- Walk back up to apartment to get ID/key activated
- Walk to subway - buy brand new monthly metrocard ($81)
- Accidentally get on express train and go a stop too far
- (Various mistakes made due to sickness and tired exasperation)
- Walk to clinic - long wait/fill out info
- Get extremely late lunch/recover from dehydration
- Wait some more at clinic
- Get diagnosis/prescription for antibiotics
- It begins to rain - I have not brought my umbrella
- Head downtown in the rain - stop by CVS in Chelsea to drop off prescription
- Wait 1 hour at CVS as advised
- Get back in line for pick-up - prescription is not ready as promised
- Sit and wait again
- Return to long line - prescription is finally ready
- Finally go home feeling 3X worse than when I woke up thinking I felt horrible
- Cooked some steamed vegetables for myself
