Thoughts on Pennsylvania
Recently noticed:
1. We have a “Lesbian Alliance” that enforces littering laws around my house.
2. My friends here can keep me from feeling lonely if I let them.
There are more things that I don’t feel particularly comfortable disclosing on the internet, so I won’t, but, the point is, “home” looks a little different after being away. I feel less and more comfortable, and less and more like myself.
Alex and I were talking about how it’s lovely to visit Pennsylvania, but we wouldn’t want to move back. And how bizarre that is, thinking we’ve lived the majority of our lives there and, suddenly, we’ve outgrown it. The lavender leather wallet I gave her for her sixteenth birthday was stolen last week, straight out of her purse, as she was coming out of the subway.
It blows my mind to think that the thing is now held captive by some strange woman somewhere in New York.
